Dinner With Your Dog Supports Shakespeare Animal Fund

Wild River Grille donates funds to a local charity every Monday through the entire month of April

Press Release

updated: Mar 18, 2019

Bring man’s best friend to Wild River Grille’s outdoor patio for dinner every Monday during the month of April and they will donate 10 percent from every entrée to the Shakespeare Animal Fund. Wild River Grille is one of downtown Reno’s elite restaurants and is located along the Riverwalk District.

Most people think their dog is by far the best dinner partner … they don’t need small talk, they don’t try to split the bill and they are the perfect listeners. To top it off, if their human spills a little, they will gladly clean up any mess. What better way to reward their good behavior than by treating them to a night out at one of Reno’s best restaurants? Wild River Grille, located along the scenic Truckee River at 17 S. Virginia, is starting its annual Dinner with Your Dog event off with a bang. Guests are encouraged to bring their favorite four-legged friend to dinner during the month of April and a percentage of the proceeds will go to the Shakespeare Animal Fund, a local 501(c)(3) charity.

Offering a wide variety of gourmet entrées as well as quality wines and delicious local brews, Wild River Grille is the perfect place to enjoy Reno’s natural beauty while helping the community.

The Shakespeare Animal Fund is a nonprofit organization whose sole purpose is to save the lives of as many pets as possible. They do this by paying emergency veterinary bills for the elderly, the disabled and any other person that is less fortunate and whose dogs or cats are suffering. There are thousands of local people who live alone, below the poverty line and whose main “family” is their pet. That’s where the Shakespeare Animal Fund steps in.

Founded in January 2004 under the direction of the Community Foundation, this organization has raised more than $500,000 to help local animals. However, the need to help our furry companions continuously grows, as do the rise in calls and emails each month begging for help.

Give back to the community and enjoy a great meal by participating in the Dinner with Your Dog event. For more information, contact (775) 284-7455.
