Millbrook Artist Betty Kiser Releases Devotional on Faith Through Life’s Transitions

The Millbrook-based artist and author Betty Kiser has unveiled her latest devotional work, "Trusting God with Your Change of Seasons," via Christian Faith Publishing.

The work explores major life transitions such as career shifts, empty nests, relocations, and changes in marital status — and frames them as opportunities to deepen religious faith rather than obstacles to it. According to the announcement, Kiser draws on Romans 8:28 and Joshua 1:9 to argue that age shouldn’t be treated as a barrier to pursuing what she describes as God’s plans for a person’s life.

Kiser brings a background spanning six decades of work as an artist, writer, mentor, and teacher, according to the announcement, and now creates from what she calls her Forever Home and Art Gallery. In a statement, Kiser expressed her goal of showing readers how life’s transitions can strengthen spiritual connection and reveal God’s reliability.

The publisher describes the book as offering readers practical encouragement to release fear and find steadiness during uncertain periods — territory shared by other recent entries in the Christian devotional genre, including titles built around daily reflections and scripture-based coping strategies for anxiety and loss of control. "Trusting God with Your Change of Seasons" is available in hardcover and paperback through Christian Faith Publishing’s website, as well as major booksellers including Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and the Apple iTunes Store.

Studio CarryOnHarry will be watching whether Kiser’s dual identity as both visual artist and author shapes how the book is marketed and received in the months ahead.
