Ingo Solace has released "Hero Boy," a children’s book about a young protagonist learning to trust an individual path rather than measure himself against others, according to the publisher’s announcement. The book is out now through Page Publishing and available at major retailers including Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Google Play, and the Apple iTunes Store, as well as bookstores.
According to the announcement, the story follows its young hero through doubt, peer pressure, and the pull of other people’s expectations, with the narrative built around the idea that self-acceptance is itself a kind of victory. The publisher describes the book as aimed at readers who need permission to be themselves, with the central character’s willingness to be different framed as the story’s real subject.
According to the publisher, the 25-year-old author has cultivated creative pursuits since childhood, constructing imaginative scenarios and producing art alongside her academic endeavors. "Hero Boy" draws on that same impulse, channeling what the announcement calls decades of imaginative exploration into a story pitched at young readers.
"My greatest hope is that readers find solace in these pages and realize their dreams are always there, even during life’s toughest moments," Solace said in the announcement.
The title joins a crowded shelf of children’s books built around boyhood and self-discovery themes, a category publishers return to often because the territory — doubt, conformity, finding one’s own voice — resonates across generations of young readers. Studio CarryOnHarry will be watching to see how Solace’s voice develops as she continues publishing.
