Hamilton-based indie rock band Burn The Louvre has recently released their debut LP Silhouettes, which features 11 singles that were released throughout 2022. The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered by engineer and producer Mickey Ellsworth.

Lead vocalist and guitarist Jordan Speare had begun working on Silhouettes even before the addition of Sean Cooper, the band’s guitarist and vocalist. As a result, Speare recorded as a solo artist for the first time and invited friend Andrew Billone of Silvertone Hills to play lead guitar and bass on all 11 tracks. Additionally, fellow singer/songwriter Stephanie Deshane joined Speare on the fun duet “Alison”.

After the completion of Silhouettes in late 2018, Cooper answered a “Musicians Wanted” Kijiji ad that Speare had posted. The two quickly hit it off and began jamming together, leading to the re-imagining of Burn The Louvre as a duo. Speare praised Cooper’s ability to add unique leads to pre-recorded songs, giving them different nuances while maintaining the original vibe.

Silhouettes is now available on all major streaming platforms and can be listened to wherever music is available. Burn The Louvre’s debut LP is sure to please fans of indie rock and showcases the talent of these two musicians from Hamilton.

Their most popular song on the platform is “Lost With You,” which has garnered over 16,000 plays so far. Coming in second is “Hey Stacey” with just under 10,000 plays. And at number three is “Nice Guy,” which has already received over 4,000 plays on Spotify to date.

But their success doesn’t stop there. Burn the Louvre’s music has been making its way across the globe, with airplay in countries like Canada, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, France, Greece, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Uganda, and all across Europe via The European Indie Music Network.

It’s clear that Burn the Louvre is on the rise, and music fans everywhere are taking notice. With their unique sound and heartfelt lyrics, it’s no wonder they’re quickly becoming one of the most talked-about indie bands in the scene.
