Paris Hilton Reveals Personal Struggles in New Memoir
Paris Hilton’s new memoir, “Paris: The Memoir,” has shed new light on her personal life, including past relationships and traumatic experiences. While the book has received praise for its candidness and honesty, it has also been difficult for her parents to read.
In the memoir, Hilton discusses her past relationships, including her relationship with model Jason Shaw. She reveals that she became pregnant with his child before pursuing an abortion. She explains that she was not capable of being a mother at that time and that denying it would have jeopardized the family she hoped to have in the future when she was healthy and healed.
Hilton also opens up about her traumatic time in a CEDU boarding school program, in which she claimed she experienced sexual abuse. Additionally, she details an inappropriate relationship she had with her eighth-grade teacher at a Catholic school.
The book also sheds new light on Hilton’s infamous 2003 sex tape with then-boyfriend Rick Salomon. She reveals that she felt uncomfortable about making the tape and that Salomon had often said it was something he did with other women. She recalls that he told her if she wouldn’t do it, he could easily find someone who would.
Despite the difficult subject matter, Hilton is proud of the book and hopes it will help people understand her better. “People are realizing I’m not a dumb blonde, I’m just very good at pretending to be one,” she said.
Hilton is now in a much healthier relationship with her husband, Carter Reum. The couple welcomed their son Phoenix Barron in February via surrogate.
