Veneda Hackner’s New Poetry Collection “Which Fitz” Finds Meaning in Everyday Moments

Veneda Hackner has released "Which Fitz," a 66-page poetry collection published by Covenant Books that centers on the small, often unnoticed moments of daily life, according to the publisher’s announcement.

The book arrives through Covenant Books, a Christian publishing house based in Charleston, South Carolina, that works across genres aimed at Christian readers. The collection is available in paperback and ebook editions, with an ISBN of 9798897639960, and is being sold through major retailers including Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Apple Books, as well as independent sellers.

According to the announcement, Hackner’s poems draw on personal observation and reflection, built around themes of mindfulness and gratitude. The publisher describes the work as finding what it calls "transformative power" in ordinary instances — a conversation, a glance, a sudden realization — and frames the collection as an invitation for readers to notice what they might otherwise overlook.

In the announcement, Hackner stated: "My hope is that readers find in these poems a mirror to their own experiences, and through that reflection, discover the exceptional hiding within the ordinary."

The publisher positions the collection as accessible to both regular poetry readers and newcomers to the form, pairing plain language with what it describes as genuine emotional weight. Covenant Books’ catalog runs broadly across Christian-market genres, and "Which Fitz" fits within that scope as a devotional-adjacent poetry title rather than a narrative work.

Studio CarryOnHarry will be watching to see how a collection built on quiet, small-scale subject matter finds its readership in a poetry market that tends to reward either confessional memoir or overtly thematic, issue-driven work.
