Curtis Carr’s Newly Released “The Heart After God’s Heart: Messages from First Samuel” is an Articulate Study of the First Book of Samuel
Carr shares, “King David was a man after God’s own heart. Have you ever wondered what God saw in David—or, rather, the characteristics that David exhibited for God to adorn him with this title? David was not perfect or absent of sin but called, appointed, and anointed by God just like every Christian believer. The Heart After God’s Heart: Messages from First Samuel details these characteristics along with other relevant and insightful revelations from God’s word using the Old Testament book of 1 Samuel. You and I can be Christians after God’s own heart and excel in personal growth—even better than David—as we have within us God’s Holy Spirit. Build up yourself in God, and advance in your Christian faith with this understanding and other messages. Look at the story of David and Goliath in a new light relevant to your Christian walk today. Discover how the children of Israel are a type and shadow of our Christian life now.
“God’s heart begins with prayer and communion. Every believer should make prayer a lifelong learning experience. Hannah demonstrates how every Christian should be vitally connected to God through prayer. Samuel, the priest and prophet, uses his life to convey how we belong to God wholly and totally. Any believer who gives up his life to Jesus will know the meaning of losing his life to gain the whole world. We have been born again and handed over to his providence. We experience the heart of disobedience through Saul’s reign as king and then David’s heart of obedience as a shepherd, giant slayer, covenant brother, and anointed king—a man after God’s own heart. Their experiences together reveal to us the heart after God’s heart.”
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Curtis Carr’s new book is a compelling biblical study tool that brings clarity and inspiration.

New Fantasy Novel Explores Orphan’s Journey Through Magic and Danger
Balle Balle Radio™ Entertainment Desk
Author C. A. Ballard has released a debut fantasy novel, "The Lost Legacy," following a young orphan protagonist drawn into a battle against a malevolent force seeking to strip the world of its magical power, according to the publisher’s announcement.
The book comes from Newman Springs Publishing, a New Jersey-based author-services publisher that works with writers across genres to produce and distribute their books; the company is handling both publication and promotion for the title. The novel is available in stores and through major digital retailers, including Amazon, Apple, Google Play and Barnes & Noble.
According to the publisher, Zara must safeguard her sibling while partnering with an ensemble of fantastical beings including fae warriors, mythical creatures, and magical beings to combat darkness — against an antagonist seeking to strip the world of its magic.
Ballard, described in the release as a wife, mother and grandmother with a background in accounting and medical billing, said medical challenges led her to pursue creative endeavors. "I wanted to craft deeply engaging stories about everyday individuals finding remarkable capabilities within themselves," Ballard said in a statement. "Zara’s story is about finding your tribe, embracing your power, and refusing to surrender to darkness." The publisher’s announcement notes additional projects from Ballard are already in development.
There is no independent review coverage of "The Lost Legacy" available yet; retail listings confirm the book’s publication details but do not offer critical assessment. Readers interested in the book can find purchase links through the publisher’s website or major retailers.
Studio CarryOnHarry Perspective
At Studio CarryOnHarry, we recognize that Ballard’s ensemble approach—layering fae warriors, mythical creatures, and magical beings alongside a resourceful orphan protagonist—speaks directly to a defining shift in contemporary fantasy publishing. Today’s YA and new-adult readers expect worldbuilding that extends beyond a single chosen one; they crave diverse supernatural allies and complex team dynamics that reflect both traditional mythology and modern storytelling sensibilities. Zara’s "finding your tribe" arc taps into this broader cultural moment where belonging and chosen family rival the hero’s individual journey. As the fantasy market continues to reward narratives emphasizing collective strength over solitary heroism, Ballard’s decision to populate her world with multiple fantastical perspectives positions "The Lost Legacy" within reader expectations that have reshaped the genre over the past five years. This matters because debut authors who understand—and authentically execute—these ensemble-driven narratives are better positioned to build engaged readerships from launch.

Ex-XM Executive’s Memoir Recalls Satellite Radio Launch Delayed by 9/11
Balle Balle Radio™ Entertainment Desk
Twenty-five years after the September 11 attacks postponed its debut, a founding XM executive has released a memoir about the satellite radio company’s launch. "They Pay for Water: Building XM Satellite Radio from a Paper Concept to Millions of Subscribers," by Dan Murphy, went on sale August 17 in ebook, paperback and hardcover, according to the announcement.
The company was set to launch its inaugural U.S. satellite radio service on September 12, 2001, in the Dallas/Fort Worth and San Diego markets. Murphy and the executive team flew out of Washington, D.C. in the early morning hours of September 11, per the announcement. The launch was pushed back, going live September 25 and expanding nationally by that November.
After joining Sony as a 24-year-old with minimal prior experience, Murphy spent 15 years helping to capitalize, build, and launch XM’s satellite infrastructure, create its receivers, and establish distribution channels in retail and automotive sectors., the announcement states. "After Walkman, Discman, I was looking to join the next big audio innovation when a recruiter called," Murphy said. "It sounded perfect. It was going to be radio the way it should be."
The volume addresses the company’s funding rounds, satellite deployment, distribution challenges across retail and automotive channels, programming strategy, customer economics, multiple Chapter 11 threats, and its ultimate acquisition by Sirius., according to the announcement. "We had spent years getting ready for the biggest launch of our careers, and then the country stopped," Murphy said. "For weeks afterward, I did not know whether anyone would still care about satellite radio."
Positioned as both corporate history and personal narrative, the book targets audiences seeking insight into the construction of major consumer-facing ventures requiring substantial capital investment. — a framing the announcement ties to ongoing debates in the audio industry over subscription economics. It is Murphy’s first book and is available now on Amazon.
