Steven W. Wilson’s New Book, “Teetering on a Tightrope,” is a Profound Memoir That Reveals How the Author Managed to Gain Control of His Bipolar Disorder Over the Years

Scottsdale, AZ, May 01, 2023 –(CarryOnHarry.com)– Fulton Books author Steven W. Wilson, a loving husband and grandfather who has spent a lot of his time as the facilitator for two mental health support groups in Phoenix, Arizona, has completed his most recent book, “Teetering on a Tightrope: My Bipolar Journey”: an eye-opening account that follows the author through his lifelong battle with bipolar disorder, and how, with proper guidance from mental health professionals, he was able to lead a full and productive life.

“Having experienced a lifetime of mental issues and spent many hours working with those afflicted, I have concluded there are millions of people who suffer with their own demons but never seek or receive quality professional help,” writes Wilson. “They go through each day alone and bewildered by what’s happening to them. Our world is always in turmoil, and when you add the ways in which people can physically, mentally, and sexually harm one another, it is no wonder our cities are overwhelmed with the homeless and mentally ill who have been thrown onto the streets because of an inadequate mental health system.”

Wilson continues, “There are two outcomes I want people to take away from my memoir. First, with hope and empathy from a lot of professional mental health experts and my family and friends, I was able to turn my life around. It was not easy, and it took a lot of years. But now I am content with my life and enjoy every minute of it. That means that if I can conquer bipolar disorder, so can anyone else who is suffering from mental health issues. Believe me. There is good help available, but you must seek it out and stick with it. It will be worth the journey.

“The second outcome I hope for is that the so-called normal people will discover that those with mental issues are not to be shunned and thought of as inferior. Many people are susceptible to bouts of depression, mania, or other issues but won’t admit it. They never get help or take medication because they think it won’t help, or they believe they can handle their problems by themselves. Nothing could be further from the truth.”

Published by Fulton Books, Steven W. Wilson’s book takes readers on an intimate and deeply personal journey through the author’s life, revealing his sometimes out-of-control mind and how bipolar disorder has affected his day-to-day life throughout the years.

Despite having to navigate the ups and downs of the disorder every day, Wilson has managed to find a state of normalcy through proper professional help and aims to inspire others to seek out help as he once did in order to gain the upper hand in their own mental health struggles, and help readers also struggling with bipolar disorder to discover they are not alone in their fights.

Readers who wish to experience this enlightening work can purchase “Teetering on a Tightrope: My Bipolar Journey” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes and Noble.

St. Louis Author Greg Stuart Debuts Suspense Novel “Lifeline”

Balle Balle Radio™ Entertainment Desk

Greg Stuart, a lifelong resident of St. Louis, has published his debut novel, "Lifeline," a suspense thriller centered on a man who can deliver messages from the recently deceased to their grieving families.

The book follows Damian Hunter, who gains this ability after a near-death experience, per the press release. For a time, the gift serves as a source of comfort for families who receive final words from lost loved ones. The story turns when Hunter is given a narrow window to deliver a message to what the announcement describes as one of the most feared people in the country. He sets out on the errand uncertain whether he can even be believed, let alone survive the attempt, with what the publisher describes as time running out and opposition closing in.

"Lifeline" was released by Newman Springs Publishing for purchase at retail locations and digital platforms including Apple iBooks, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble. No detailed author biography accompanied the announcement beyond Stuart’s St. Louis roots and this being his first novel.

For Studio CarryOnHarry, the premise — a reluctant messenger forced to confront the most dangerous person imaginable — is a familiar thriller setup, and the real test will be whether Stuart’s execution gives it the tension the concept promises.

New Book from Relationship Coach Kat O’Connor Tackles the Everyday Friction of Blended Families

Balle Balle Radio™ Entertainment Desk

Kat O’Connor, a relationship coach who has spent more than a decade working with singles, couples and blended families, has released a new guide for stepparents, "Life in the Blender: A Stepparent’s Guide to Blending a Family," published through Newman Springs Publishing.

The book is aimed at a specific, common problem: what happens after the wedding, when two households and two sets of family habits are supposed to become one. O’Connor’s book focuses on the friction points that tend to come up in that process, including loyalty conflicts between children and parents, disagreements over household boundaries, and communication breakdowns between stepparents and stepchildren, according to the announcement.

O’Connor holds a degree in sociology and is a certified relationship coach. The announcement also draws on her own history: a divorce in 2006, nine years as a single parent, and the formation of her own blended family in 2019. The publisher describes the book as combining that personal experience with her coaching background, working through real-world scenarios rather than abstract advice.

"My mission has always been to help families transition from conflict and confrontation back to communication and conversation," O’Connor said in the announcement. "This book represents years of coaching experience combined with my personal journey through blended family life, and I hope it becomes an invaluable companion for anyone seeking to build a stronger, more connected household."

According to the publisher, the book walks through strategies for building trust across family lines, setting boundaries, and developing relationships between stepparents and stepchildren, with the stated aim of helping readers move from tension toward what the announcement calls a more cohesive family unit. It’s worth noting the title has been used before: a 2006 memoir by singer Sandi Patty, also called "Life in the Blender," covered similar territory about blended families from a personal and faith-based perspective, though it’s a separate, unrelated book.

"Life in the Blender" is available at bookstores and through Apple Books, Amazon, Google Play and Barnes & Noble.

Studio CarryOnHarry sees a crowded shelf here — blended-family guidance is not new territory — but the appeal of a book built on a coach’s own client work rather than pure theory is real, and worth watching for how it lands with readers navigating that transition themselves.
