Shadahyah Elizabeth’s New Book, “My Family’s Secret,” Follows a Young Girl as She Encounters a Troubled Young Man Who Shares the Same Abilities She and Her Sister Have
[ad_1]
Born and raised in St. Louis, author Shadahyah Elizabeth first began writing when she was twelve years old with her sisters. Those stories were only for their amusement, but as they continued to write, she found herself drawn to the art of storytelling. Her love of writing only continued to grow as she got older, where at times she would find herself writing down stories or story ideas while in class, both out of fear of forgetting it and the pull to put pen to paper. After graduating from Saint Louis University with a communications degree, she realized that writing was her true passion, and after taking a year off, she went back to school and got her MA in creative writing from Southern New Hampshire University, then her MFA in creative writing from Lindenwood University. She is determined to learn all she can about the craft she has fallen in love with.
“Telepathy is an ability Arianna Miller has had her entire life,” writes Shadahyah. “It is a gift that she and her sister have inherited from their mother but have been told to keep a secret from everyone, including Arianna’s stepfather, Marshal. The only person outside her family that knows about the secret is her best friend, Rosy Mendez, who has kept the secret for years. Then on the first day of her senior year of high school, Arianna meets the town’s miscreant, Evan Jackson, the son of the governor and high school principal, who she soon discovers shares the same unique ability as her.
“Evan has spent the majority of his life with his aunt and uncle, only coming home in the summertime, until an incident that happened when he was twelve caused his parents to keep him from returning. The last place he wanted to be was Harrison, Arizona, but after getting kicked out of his last boarding school, he was forced to return and confront his past. When their paths cross, the two suddenly feel an intense pull toward each other but are warned to stay away from each other due to a secret Arianna’s ‘on again, off again’ boyfriend, Jason Richardson, and Evan share. But how do you stay away from someone that has the same ability as you and your heart feels drawn to?
“Suddenly, the two find themselves entangled in a web of secrets and lies with their parents, with the new science teacher being at the center of it. A secret so big it will change Arianna’s and Evan’s lives forever.”
Published by Fulton Books, Shadahyah Elizabeth’s book will take readers on an unforgettable journey as Arianna and Evan’s tale slowly unfolds, and the mysteries surrounding their powers unravel. Full of shocking twists around every corner, “My Family’s Secret” will leave readers spellbound in this thrilling page-turner that is sure to remain with them long after its stunning conclusion.

New Children’s Book Follows Three Boys Through County Fair Livestock Week
Balle Balle Radio™ Entertainment Desk
Leslie J. Weatherford has published a new children’s book, "Farmer Fuzzy Pants Goes to the Fair," which follows three boys, Matt, Mark, and Joey, through a week of raising and showing livestock at the county fair. The book is out now through Page Publishing.
The story centers on fair week itself: stalls that need cleaning daily, animals that need tending, and a tractor pull along the way, all building toward an auction where the boys’ months of work with their cows, pigs, and chickens get put to the test. According to the book’s description, one of the three, Joey, has specific plans for what he wants to do with his earnings, but has to prove he’s put in the work before the bidding starts. The book is categorized as juvenile fiction and draws on real details of fair life, from animal tagging to auction-day bidding, to give young readers a sense of what livestock competition actually involves.
Weatherford, drawing on her Michigan heritage, started creating children’s stories in 2024 following her experience as a parent. "Farmer Fuzzy Pants Goes to the Fair" is her recent release under Page Publishing.
"I wanted to create a story that shows children how hard work translates into real results," Weatherford said in a statement, adding that she hopes readers see Matt, Mark, and Joey’s journey as proof that showing up every day and caring for responsibilities pays off in ways that go beyond ribbons and trophies.
The book is available at bookstores and online through Amazon, Apple Books, Google Play, and Barnes & Noble.
Studio CarryOnHarry sees this as part of a steady stream of agricultural-life stories aimed at young readers who may never set foot on a farm, and that alone makes the genre worth keeping an eye on.

Amanda Solomon’s New Novel “Liberty” Follows a Woman Rebuilding Her Life in Laguna Beach
Balle Balle Radio™ Entertainment Desk
Amanda Solomon has published a new novel, "Liberty," centered on a woman who relocates to Laguna Beach, California, to put a painful past behind her and start over. The book is available now through Page Publishing, in bookstores and through major online retailers including Amazon, Apple Books, Google Play, and Barnes & Noble.
According to the book’s description, the protagonist’s fresh start takes an unexpected turn when she meets Duncan, who becomes a close confidant. Their relationship gradually surfaces secrets tied to her past, a thread that drives the novel’s central tension between forgetting and reckoning with what came before. An audiobook edition has also been released, running just over four hours and narrated by Olivia Liebe. The print edition runs 126 pages.
Solomon has said her interest in writing began with poetry in school, and she has pointed to Nicholas Sparks and Colleen Hoover as influences on her fiction, both known for relationship-driven, emotionally direct storytelling — a lineage that tracks with "Liberty"’s premise of self-discovery through friendship.
"This story is a deeply personal one," Solomon said in a statement, "and I hope it will inspire readers to embrace the power of resilience and the redemptive qualities of friendship."
Studio CarryOnHarry will be watching whether the audiobook, with a named narrator already attached, helps the book find an audience beyond the usual churn of small-press debut fiction.
