New Book from Author Lance M. Lebray Argues Food Struggles Are a Spiritual Issue, Not a Dietary One
Balle Balle Radio™ Entertainment Desk
Lance M. Lebray has published a new book, "Eat The Gospel," which argues that the key to lasting change in a person’s eating habits is spiritual rather than dietary. The book is available now through Covenant Books, in bookstores and through major online retailers including Amazon, Apple iTunes, Google Play, and Barnes and Noble.
According to the book’s description, Lebray starts from a familiar frustration: people cycle through new foods, new recipes, new chefs, and new workout routines without getting the results they want. His answer is that the problem isn’t a person’s plate, but their heart. The book argues that a person’s relationship with food improves as a byproduct of deepening their relationship with God, rather than through diet changes pursued on their own.
Lebray draws on his own faith background and his reading of Scripture to make that case, framing physical wellness and spiritual growth as connected rather than separate pursuits. "My greatest hope is that readers will stop looking outward for solutions and instead turn inward to discover what God’s Word has always offered," Lebray said in announcing the release.
The work enters a growing category of Christian wellness literature positioning dietary practices within a spiritual framework rather than a purely physical one. "Eat The Gospel" is published through Covenant Books, a Christian publishing house based in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.
Studio CarryOnHarry will be curious to see whether Lebray’s framework offers readers concrete practices, or stays at the level of spiritual reorientation — that distinction tends to determine whether faith-based wellness books find a lasting readership beyond their initial release.

Author Daniel Rester Sr. Pairs Personal Testimony with Scripture in New Book “Chronicles of Theophilos”
Balle Balle Radio™ Entertainment Desk
Daniel Rester Sr. has published a new book, "Chronicles of Theophilos," through Covenant Books, pairing his own life story with biblical scripture to make a case for what he describes as God’s sovereignty over the course of a life.
The book draws on decades of the author’s personal experience, structuring itself around his own trials and what he describes as his emergence from them strengthened by faith. Rather than a straightforward devotional or commentary, the book works by setting his life story alongside scripture passage by passage, using that contrast to argue for the relevance of biblical teaching to ordinary circumstances.
The book’s central theme is surrender: it frames faith, repentance, and obedience to Jesus Christ as the path to what Rester calls renewal and spiritual transformation. It’s aimed partly at readers going through hardship, offering what the publisher describes as encouragement grounded in the idea of steadfast divine love, and partly at readers unfamiliar with Christian faith who might encounter the book as an entry point.
According to the publisher’s announcement, Rester stated: "My prayer is that readers will recognize God’s hand in their own stories and experience the liberating power that comes from surrendering to His sovereign will."
"Chronicles of Theophilos" is available through bookstores and online via Amazon, Apple Books, Google Play, and Barnes and Noble, as well as through Covenant Books directly. Covenant Books, based in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, publishes Christian-market titles across genres.

James Geil’s Memoir Recalls a 1960s Boyhood in East Pakistan
Balle Balle Radio™ Entertainment Desk
James Geil has published a memoir recounting his boyhood years in what was then East Pakistan, now Bangladesh, during the early 1960s. "Tales from East Pakistan": Boyhood Memories of Living Overseas is drawn from Geil’s own recollections of growing up overseas and traveling through South Asia, the Middle East and Europe during that period, according to the announcement.
Geil spent 35 years teaching nautical science at Tabor Academy in Marion, Massachusetts, a boarding school with a maritime program, where he also captained the Tabor Boy, the school’s 92-foot training vessel. He took up writing after retiring from that career, according to the announcement.
The book centers on Geil’s childhood exposure to the region’s cultures and historic sites during a period of significant geopolitical change in South Asia, in the years before East Pakistan’s 1971 split from Pakistan and emergence as independent Bangladesh. "My memories of those formative years abroad remained vivid throughout my career, and I felt compelled to preserve them for future generations," Geil said in the announcement. "I hope readers will find in these pages a window into a remarkable period of global history and the transformative nature of cross-cultural experience."
The book is published through Newman Springs Publishing and is available at bookstores and through major online retailers including Amazon, Apple Books, Google Play and Barnes & Noble.
Studio CarryOnHarry sees this as part of a steady stream of personal memoirs finding an audience among readers drawn to firsthand accounts of a world, and a region, that looked very different six decades ago.
