Interview with Katerina Maria Kraft pianist and compose from Germany
Born in Germany but nurtured by the rich cultural tapestry of the Czech Republic, Katerina Maria Kraft’s love affair with music began as a blossoming seed that soon grew into an extraordinary symphonic garden. From a tender age, the world recognized her innate musicality. It was as if melodies whispered secrets to her, and she, in turn, breathed life into them through her fingers. The piano became her closest confidant, a vessel through which her emotions flowed, and her artistry flourished.
I work with singers, in the theater and orchestras.And music is my life,my passion.
Also I like the time in the music studio when new music is created.
I’ve been riding my competitions since I was a child. I was the first and youngest pianist to premiere compositions by Vítězslav Kaprálova.(Czech Composer)
I work in the theater with musical actors, film-orchestras,singers,bands.
I won a Special Award in Songwriting Competition UK,Finalist of European Songwriting Contest.
No one really inspires me. I go my own way.My style,my rules.
I admire other artists, but they are not my idols.I’m just a fan of them.
My music is full of emotions. Sometimes it’s wild, sometimes it’s calm. It’s mostly melancholic. Sometimes I think about it a lot, sometimes it comes by itself.
Sometimes the topic is nature, sometimes mental health or sometimes just emotions/improvisation.
