Frederick Sserugga’s New Book Offers Year-Round Scripture Reflections for Catholic Readers
Balle Balle Radio™ Entertainment Desk
Frederick Sserugga has published "Your Word Is a Lamp Unto My Feet and A Light Unto My Path, Vol. 1," a devotional resource organized around the Church’s liturgical calendar, according to the announcement.
The book is structured in three sections. The first offers reflections tied to weekday Scripture readings for liturgical years A and B, allowing readers to follow along with daily readings used in Catholic worship across a two-year cycle. The announcement describes the work as meticulously organized, intended for readers looking to build a sustained, structured practice of engaging with Scripture rather than an occasional one.
The liturgical years A and B structure situates the book within the three-year lectionary cycle used in Catholic and some other liturgical traditions, where Sunday and weekday readings rotate on a set schedule tied to the Gospels. A volume built around that cycle is designed to be used alongside daily Mass readings over an extended period rather than read straight through.
Studio CarryOnHarry sees books like this filling a narrow but durable niche: readers who want their devotional reading paced to the liturgical calendar itself, not just organized by theme.

New Book from San Antonio Pastor Benildo Morataya Reframes ‘Superiority’ Through Scripture
Balle Balle Radio™ Entertainment Desk
Benildo Morataya, founding pastor of Palabra Viva Iglesia Cristiana in San Antonio, has released a new book, "EL PODER DE UN ESPÍRITU SUPERIOR" ("The Power of a Superior Spirit"), published through Christian Faith Publishing.
The book argues that biblical superiority has nothing to do with dominance, physical strength, or intellectual rank — the terms most people associate with the word, according to the book’s own description. Instead, Morataya frames it as a capacity: the ability to serve others more effectively, pursue meaningful goals, and hold steady through circumstances that run contrary to one’s purpose. Men and women are not born superior, the book states — they choose to become so, through decisions that compound over time and through a faith relationship the author describes as central to that growth.
Morataya has spent more than four decades in ministry. He and his wife, Hilda, have led Palabra Viva Iglesia Cristiana for close to thirty years, and he also directs the church’s affiliated theological seminary, which trains ministers. That background shapes the book’s approach, which works through scriptural principle rather than general self-help framing.
"This book was created to assist the faithful in recognizing that genuine superiority emerges not through control of others, but through cultivating the internal fortitude and spiritual capacity to aid them more effectively," Morataya said. "The choices we make today determine the spiritual height we reach tomorrow."
The book is available in paperback and through major online retailers, including Amazon, Apple Books, Google Play, and Barnes & Noble.
Studio CarryOnHarry notes that Morataya’s framing — superiority as service rather than status — runs against a cultural current that still largely equates it with power or rank, and that tension is likely the book’s main point of entry for readers already working through questions of purpose and leadership within a faith context.

New Illustrated Book Pairs Genesis Narrative With Coloring Pages for Bible Study Groups
Balle Balle Radio™ Entertainment Desk
The newly released "God’s Creation: Coloring Book and Story Time" by Rev. Ronald Wright and Rev. Michael R. Grooms presents Genesis’s opening narratives with accompanying illustrations for coloring. The book is published through Christian Faith Publishing.
Wright wrote the manuscript over a period of years, according to the announcement, while Grooms produced the accompanying illustrations and worked to bring the project to publication. The two describe the finished book as a joint effort, with Grooms’ artwork built around Wright’s original text.
The book is structured in two parts: a narrative retelling of creation’s early chapters, and a discussion section with reflective questions meant for group settings. According to the publisher, it’s designed for use in Bible study groups, among new believers, or by anyone looking to revisit the creation story. The coloring pages are intended to give readers a way to engage with the material beyond straight reading, pairing visual participation with the text’s themes of divine design and humanity’s place within it.
In their statement, the authors expressed hope that the book would illuminate God’s creation from a fresh angle, enabling readers to interact with Scripture in transformative ways and offering it as a resource for those pursuing spiritual deepening.
The book is available through bookstores and major online retailers, including Amazon, Apple iTunes Store, Google Play, and Barnes and Noble. For Studio CarryOnHarry, the format itself is the story here: a Genesis retelling built to be colored in, not just read, aimed squarely at study groups and new believers rather than a general audience.
