California Singer Songwriter Music Performer Brigitte Purdy Her have the ability to sing is something that many of us are naturally gifted from a very early age. Very few individuals, though, are able to connect such ability to their own emotions and translate them into singing and songwriting.  Brigitte Rios Purdy has felt that need to sing about her own inner feelings and emotions since she was a child. Born and raised in Los Angeles Brigitte Purdy has soon expressed the great desire to become a singer, with a particular inclination to soul, blues and R&B. It didn’t take too long for the American singer and songwriter, thanks to her pure and silky singing voice, to be noted and asked to perform on the same stage with artists like Walter Trout, Sugaray Rayford, Tim Bogart Dionne Warwick, and Dolly Parton amongst others. Singing background vocals for such artists as The Who and Paul Rodgers.

Once the ice of the music business was broken, Brigitte Rios Purdy’s next step into connecting completely with music at 360 degrees was starting to write her own songs. Her profound, love and admiration for the late great B.B. King pushed the American artist to compose her very first song called Lucille, Don’t You Weep, a blues ballad with clear references to King’s most favorite guitar and the intensity of the sound coming from one of the most famous blues guitars of all time.

Netflix Groups Book Adaptations Under New ‘Watch Your Favorite Books’ Collection

Balle Balle Radio Entertainment Desk

Netflix has organized its book-to-screen adaptations into a new curated genre called Watch Your Favorite Books, letting subscribers browse titles by the kind of story they’re looking for, according to Netflix Life. Other outlets covering the rollout describe the collection as available globally, adding a distribution detail the original piece didn’t include.

The move follows Netflix’s earlier Book Club initiative, which brought together authors, showrunners and cast members to discuss adaptations including Bridgerton, Sweet Magnolias and Pieces of Her.

Netflix Life’s roundup of the collection’s standouts includes Sweet Magnolias, adapted from the first three books of Sherryl Woods’ 11-part series and centered on three lifelong friends played by JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Heather Headley and Brooke Elliott. Bridgerton, based on Julia Quinn’s novels, devotes each season to a different sibling, with the outlet noting the Benedict-and-Sophie storyline in particular draws comparisons to a class-crossing fairy tale.

The list also covers One Day, adapted from David Nicholls’ novel and previously made into a 2011 film starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess, which Netflix Life argues benefits from more room to develop its Edinburgh-set storyline with Leo Woodall and Ambika Mod. Jenny Han’s Lara Jean books appear via To All the Boys, which spawned a film trilogy and the spinoff series XO, Kitty. Rounding out the list: an eight-episode take on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House on the Prairie that expands on the Osage community’s role, a version of Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women that gives extra time to Beth’s illness and Jo and Laurie’s relationship, and My Life With the Walter Boys, based on Ali Novak’s novel about a teenager who moves in with a large blended family after tragedy.

Netflix hasn’t said how often the Watch Your Favorite Books collection will be updated or how titles are selected for it.
