Perry, GA, June 02, 2023 –(CarryOnHarry.com)– Comfort Green, a native of Cameroon, West Africa who was sent to England for her primary and secondary education, came to the United States at the age of eighteen for college, pursued a career in healthcare, and presently resides in Americus, Georgia with her husband of thirty-five years, has completed her new book, “Still Colored”: an illuminating autobiography recalling her encounters with bigotry as a person of color in the South.

The author shares, “My personal story was written to show and relate the experiences I had working as an executive in Southwest Georgia in the late nineties through 2009. I heard stories from my in-laws about the experiences they had growing up in the South, but I never believed it would happen to me. I grew up thinking that because of my education, life was going to be easy for me and my family. I had not experienced this form of discrimination in my entire life, due to the fact that I was raised by white people from the age of fifteen to twenty-four. I felt it only happened to individuals who were lazy and wanted to blame their circumstances on others. I knew it would not happen to me because my husband was a successful lawyer licensed in three states; my in-laws were doctors; and I had a great education. Needless to say, I found out when we moved to Georgia – even after associating with the President of the United States and the likes of the founder of Habitat for Humanity International – it was obvious that I was still colored.”

Published by Page Publishing, Comfort Green’s engrossing book is a compelling true story of bigotry, perseverance, and faith for an immigrant from Cameroon, West Africa.

Readers who wish to experience this engaging work can purchase “Still Colored” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes and Noble.

New Children’s Book ‘Sally’s First Day of School’ Frames Bullying Through a Lens of Faith

Balle Balle Radio™ Entertainment Desk

J.B. Richardson has published "Sally’s First Day of School: And Her New Best Friend," a children’s book that follows a young girl navigating bullying and social exclusion at school, according to an announcement from Christian Faith Publishing, which released the book.

The story centers on Sally, a girl whose kindness and gentle nature initially make her a target in a school environment the book describes as rewarding harshness over compassion. Richardson says he based the character on his own eldest daughter, who experienced bullying, and wrote the book for parents looking to help children through similar situations.

The narrative follows Sally as she weighs whether to change herself to fit in or hold onto her own nature, a tension the announcement frames as the book’s central question. Richardson, described in the announcement as a husband and father, says his own experiences with adversity and his path toward what he calls spiritual transformation shaped how he wrote Sally’s struggle.

"I wrote this book to show children that being kind, loving, and true to yourself is never a mistake," Richardson said in the announcement. "When we anchor our identities in faith rather than peer approval, we discover a strength that no amount of bullying can diminish."

The publisher describes the book as aimed at validating children’s experiences with social struggle while pointing them toward faith as a source of resilience. "Sally’s First Day of School: And Her New Best Friend" is available through bookstores and major online retailers including Amazon, Apple iTunes, Google Play, and Barnes and Noble.

Studio CarryOnHarry sees this as part of a steady stream of faith-based children’s books addressing bullying, a topic that remains a persistent concern for parents and educators alike regardless of genre.

New Book from Author Esther Gómez Offers Hispanic Families a Guide Through U.S. Schools

Balle Balle Radio™ Entertainment Desk

Esther Gómez has written "Un Milagro en mi Educación," a Spanish-language book aimed at Hispanic families navigating American schools, published this year through Christian Faith Publishing. The book is available in paperback and runs 19.91 euros in some European listings, with an ISBN of 9798897854349.

Gómez, an educator, draws on years of working with students making the transition into English-language classrooms. According to the announcement, the book pairs her professional background with testimonies from students who worked through that transition, aiming to give families concrete steps rather than general encouragement.

The book is structured around both practical guidance and religious framing. The publisher’s description points to two recurring scriptural references: Hebrews 13:5 and Philippians 4:13, which Gómez uses to frame perseverance through academic setbacks as tied to faith. "My greatest joy comes from helping Hispanic families recognize that their dreams of academic achievement are not only possible but within reach," Gómez said in the announcement. "I’ve seen students overcome remarkable challenges when given proper tools, familial support, and faith-centered perspective."

The publisher describes the book as integrating practical strategies, authentic narratives, and faith-based support to help readers overcome language obstacles and cultural transitions within American educational settings. It’s being sold through major retailers including Amazon, Apple Books, Google Play, and Barnes & Noble, as well as through Christian Faith Publishing’s own site.

Studio CarryOnHarry sees this as part of a steady stream of faith-based guidance aimed at immigrant families navigating American institutions, a niche with real demand even when any single title reaches a modest audience.
