Author Ken Stallings’s New Book, “A Walk of Faith: Is Not a Blind Path” Was Written to Grow the Kingdom of God for All Readers Looking to Build Their Faith

Author Ken Stallings attended and graduated from Central of Carrollton High School. Beyond high school, he attended Southern Technical Polytech, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering technology. He began his professional career as a technician for NCR Corporation. While at NCR, Ken earned multiple promotions leading up to a director-level position. As a result of acquisitions and spinoffs while at NCR, Ken worked for AT&T and Lucent Technologies. After several years with each of these companies, he returned to NCR as a VP. After a short stint as VP and nineteen years in corporate America, Ken left the corporate world and started CoLiant Solutions with his wife, Contessa. His tenure at CoLiant Solutions is the inspiration for this book. CoLiant celebrated twenty years of business in 2022. Ken currently leads CoLiant Solutions as president.
Ken has been married to Contessa for twenty-nine years. They have two children, Brandt and Carissa. Ken enjoys the outdoors. He is an avid hunter. Ken also likes sports. He spent many years coaching each of his kids in various sports. Ken is most content with good quality time with his family.
Ken writes, “I have written this book for my children, Brandt and Carissa Stallings. It is intended to impart the wisdom I have obtained through my first sixty years of life. Wisdom is the application of hard-earned knowledge in a manner that positively influences a person’s life. I am amazed to note that, the more I practice my faith, the greater my wisdom grows. I have been delighted and deeply encouraged while observing my children’s faith as they walked with Jesus Christ through their teen years and into young adulthood. I recognized that this was a crucial time for them. Watching my children grow has led me to reflect on my experiences through the successive stages of my own life. God has ordained that things should work in a certain way in every part of our lives. The closer we follow His will, the more we align ourselves with His intentions for our good.”

Suzanne Hobbs’s latest release through Page Publishing, "The Sleepy Snake: A Perfect Bedtime Story," chronicles a weary serpent moving through various locations seeking an ideal sleeping spot.
The book is a follow-up to Hobbs’s debut, "The Hungry Snake," which introduced the same snake on a different kind of search: a hungry trek through a cast of curious animals in pursuit of the perfect meal. Where that first book ran on appetite, this one runs on exhaustion, with the snake encountering a series of unlikely resting spots before finding one that suits him.
Hobbs spent close to fourteen years as a television reporter and news anchor for NBC and CBS affiliates in Idaho, covering court and crime stories. According to the announcement, a case she covered in 2000 drew her into advocacy for Safe Haven laws, work that led to her own daughter’s adoption in 2003. The announcement describes that history as part of what shapes her writing now, including her attention to themes of safety and comfort for children.
"My hope is that children will see themselves in the sleepy snake’s journey," Hobbs said in the announcement. "This story celebrates the beauty of rest and encourages young readers to imagine their own cozy places where they can feel safe and peaceful."
Page Publishing markets the book as a bedtime resource designed to smooth the shift from being awake to sleeping, featuring invitations for young readers to envision their own creatures and peaceful locations in the story. It’s available through Page Publishing’s site, Amazon, Apple Books, Google Play and Barnes & Noble.

Charles Zeigler, Jr., a certified management accountant with roughly five decades of experience in accounting and finance, has published "Basic Accounting Theory for Beginners or Those Thinking of a Career," a guide aimed at people weighing accounting as a profession or simply trying to understand how a company’s books work.
The book is built around a single teaching device: a fictional manufacturing company whose transactions readers follow for a full year, from the initial investment through closing the books at year’s end. According to the book’s description, that structure is meant to walk readers through the accounting equation, double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and how financial statements come together, building the concepts from first principles rather than treating them as material to memorize for an exam.
Zeigler’s own career included work as an accountant, auditor, controller, and financial analyst, with a focus on industrial cost accounting, according to the announcement. He has worked across corporations in Michigan and California subsidiaries, and describes one formative experience installing new accounting systems into a company culture resistant to the change. That background, per the announcement, shaped his approach to explaining technical material in plain language.
The book also takes on a question aimed squarely at the undecided: accounting or finance. Zeigler lays out, in his own words, which certifications carry weight in the field, what realistic salary and growth trajectories look like, and the paths from staff-level roles up to controller or CFO. It closes with what the book’s description calls personal advice on what tends to separate people who succeed in the field from those who don’t.
"I wanted to create a resource that answers the questions I wish someone had addressed when I was beginning my career," Zeigler said in a statement accompanying the release. "This book demystifies accounting and gives readers the honest perspective they need to make an informed decision about their professional future."
The book is published through Page Publishing and is available at bookstores and through major online retailers including Amazon, Apple Books, Google Play, and Barnes & Noble.
