MTS’ Alt-Rock Songwriter/Guitarist and Mental Health Advocate JJ McGuigan Releases New EP, “Time To Survive”
“Time to Survive” features 3 songs: “Rain,” “Save My Life,” and the first single, “Disconnected.” While each song has its own unique sound and feel, the three tracks come together to offer a complete musical experience to the listeners. By working with like-minded artists, JJ aims to bring talented and passionate people together, to create music that makes a lasting impact not just commercially, but also in the hearts and minds of his listeners.
Known for his honest approach to songwriting, JJ has used this new EP as a creative outlet for his innermost emotions and feelings. Using music as a tool to talk about his mental health journey and his personal struggles, JJ aims to create an open emotional discourse with his music, which he hopes can help his listeners overcome their own challenges in their life.

About JJ McGuigan: JJ McGuigan is a VH1 Save The Music Songwriting Contest Finalist, award-winning singer-songwriter, guitarist, and mental health advocate. A drummer since age 13, McGuigan later picked up the guitar and began writing songs at age 20. He attended Newman University and renowned recording school, Full Sail University. Songwriting has now become JJ’s main focus and passion, with an emphasis on lyrical creation. McGuigan has appeared on countless radio shows and his music has been heard on hundreds of stations around the world.

There will be seven different recording artists releasing songs in November. The artists include Billy Ray Charles, Anna Hamilton, Honey Davis, A Prophet Among Us, Ami Cannon, inRchild, and The Loveforce Collective. November releases will be in a number of different genres. There will be Adult Contemporary Jazz, both Instrumental and Vocal Rock, Southern Soul-Blues, Acoustic Spiritual Folk, and even a Holiday song.
“We have a lot of strong releases this November,” said Loveforce International CEO Mark Thomas. “There are a plethora of genres and two alternative versions of songs we released previously, a radio edit of a Billy Ray Charles song and an unplugged version of A Prophet Among Us song. The new Digital Music Single by Anna Hamilton is entitled “Dreamer.” It is an Adult Contemporary Jazz song. It has a big band sound with an brass section, electric guitar, drum kit, Jazz bass. The music builds and releases but retains a light and breezy mood. Lyrically it s about someone who dreams about love. The lyrics hint at metaphysical themes without getting into too much detail, again, keeping with the light and breezy mood of the song.
