New Devotional from Cameron Boles Offers Parents a Chronological Bible Guide for Family Discipleship
Balle Balle Radio™ Entertainment Desk
Cameron Boles has released "Truth for Their Hearts: A Devotional Equipping Parents to Disciple Their Children In a Chronological Walk Through the Bible," a 230-page guide published through Christian Faith Publishing that walks families through Scripture in bite-sized passages from Genesis to Revelation, arranged in chronological order rather than the Bible’s traditional book order.
The book is built around a problem Boles says many Christian parents recognize in themselves: a sense that they don’t know Scripture well enough to guide their own children’s faith, and a tendency to leave that work to the church. According to the announcement, Boles frames the math plainly — churches might get a child’s attention for roughly one hundred hours a year, against the much larger share of a week claimed by school, screens, and everything else. The devotional’s answer is a flexible, manageable structure meant to work for busy households as well as families who want to slow down and revisit passages more than once.
Boles has spent roughly a decade teaching children’s ministry at his church, covering every grade from kindergarten through fifth and preaching regularly to young congregants, which the announcement credits as the basis for the book’s narrative voice. He’s also an elder at his church, a Certified Financial Planner and Kingdom Advisor, and is involved with Gideons International and Rotary International. He and his wife, Laura, married in 2018, and the announcement notes he draws on his own experience raising children in writing the devotional.
"My deepest desire in writing this devotional is to encourage parents to step into the spiritual leadership God has already called them to exercise," Boles said in the announcement. "Through chronological, story-formed passages and practical guidance, families can walk through the entire Bible together while building a foundation of faith that shapes how their children see God, understand His Word, and respond to His love for generations to come."
"Truth for Their Hearts" is listed at $18.95 and is available through bookstores, the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon, Google Play, and Barnes and Noble.
Family devotionals built around chronological Bible reading are a familiar genre in Christian publishing, but Studio CarryOnHarry sees the specific appeal here in Boles’s ministry background — the author’s practical classroom experience distinguishes this work from purely theoretical approaches to spiritual parenting.

Dawn E. Scaff Publishes Poetry Collection “God Is Always Near”
Balle Balle Radio™ Entertainment Desk
Dawn E. Scaff has published a new poetry collection, "God Is Always Near," through Christian Faith Publishing. The book, released this year, gathers verses that emerged during her daily routine, including quiet mornings, times of worship, and moments of pause between activities.
Scaff’s path to the page runs through several decades. She immigrated to the United States from England in 1986 with her parents and brothers, served in the U.S. Air Force from 1991 to 1998, and now lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where she is a mother to one adult daughter and active in prayer ministry within her church community.
"These poems represent conversations between my soul and my Savior," Scaff said in a statement announcing the book. "I pray they become a companion to readers during their own spiritual journeys, pointing them always toward the God who is never far away."
The collection is built around a single throughline: that no one walks alone, regardless of circumstance. According to the publisher’s description, the poems are intended to offer comfort and encouragement by locating the presence of God in overlooked, everyday moments rather than in dramatic or extraordinary ones.
"God Is Always Near" is available in paperback and digital formats through major retailers, including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Google Play, and the Apple iTunes Store, as well as through Christian Faith Publishing’s own site.
For Studio CarryOnHarry, what stands out here is the book’s premise itself: devotional poetry built from the unremarkable hours of a life, rather than its peak moments, which is a quieter pitch than most faith-based releases make.

New Book “Expelled” Follows One Family’s Fight Against School Bullying — and a Daughter’s Own Expulsion
Balle Balle Radio™ Entertainment Desk
Anna Andrews has written "Expelled," a book based on her family’s experience with school bullying, published through Christian Faith Publishing. The book centers on Andrews’s youngest daughter, Emma, who the book says was targeted by persistent bullying starting at age eleven, with teachers dismissing the family’s requests for intervention.
The book recounts how Emma’s response to persistent bullying resulted in her expulsion and transfer to an alternative school serving students with behavioral challenges. The book follows her time there, where, per the announcement, she encounters other students with their own difficult histories, and traces what happens when she later attempts to return to mainstream school and finds that rumors and judgment follow her into the classroom.
Andrews describes the book as drawn from her family’s own experience. "This book needed to be written," she said in the announcement. "So many families are suffering in silence while schools fail to take meaningful action. I hope our story gives voice to those who feel unheard and shines a light on the urgent need for real change." The publisher positions the book as examining institutional indifference through the perspectives of Emma, her family members, and her parents.
"Expelled" is available in bookstores and through Apple Books, Amazon, Google Play, and Barnes & Noble.
Stories like Andrews’s surface periodically in the wider conversation about how schools handle bullying complaints — including cases where students facing discipline say the underlying problem was bullying that administrators failed to address. For Studio CarryOnHarry, the recurring pattern in these accounts, of families feeling unheard until a crisis forces the issue, is the more interesting story than any single book.
