The Big Book of Chakras and Chakra Healing: How to Unlock Your Seven Energy Centers for Healing, Happiness and Transformation By Susan Shumsky, D.D.
For most seekers, the ultimate yearning is to experience the bliss that comes from “samadhi,” that no-time-and-space miracle of total love and immersion with the universal consciousness.
For most other people, just being healthy, happy and fulfilled is enough!
Dr. Susan Shumsky’s The Big Book of Chakras and Chakra Healing: How to Unlock Your Seven Energy Centers for Healing Happiness and Transformation is for both!
This book is the first true Field Guide to the energy and chakra system that provides direct instruction on how to cleanse and open it so that the Kundalini energy that resides in the lowest root chakra can awaken and arise unimpeded to restore health and joy, and ultimately clear the way for a possible “samadhi” immersion.
Susan’s book is more than a how-to…it takes people deeply into interpretations of the ancient Tantric and Vedic teachings that uncover the mysteries of the seven chakras, the seven subchakras and the subtle energy system that connects them. Until now, much of this wisdom has been locked in secret hiding places in the forests and caves of India and Tibet. Now Susan uncovers these new understandings about the subtle energy field.
These revelations enable readers to clear the blocks, beliefs, memories and ancestral imprints that prevent a life of peace, contentment, health and prosperity. By providing very specific images, visualizations, body postures, hand gestures, cleansing techniques, breath work and affirmations specific to each of the individual chakras-the very methodologies used by ancient and modern yogis for peak experience-Susan guides you to a free flow of prana (life force energy) throughout the body and up the spinal column, providing the perfect conditions for the awakening of the kundalini in a safe, reliable and systematic way.
The potential results? The blissful, life-changing “samadhi” experience; greater intuition and connection with the divine voice; empowering yourself as multi-dimensional being, and profound and lasting health.
How does Susan come by these authentic and revered teachings? For 22 years, she was mentored by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the founder of Transcendental Meditation and the guru of The Beatles and guru of Deepak Chopra. Living in his ashram in India and traveling with him, she absorbed the wisdom, the timeless practices and spiritual mastery. She studied Sanskrit, the ancient language of the original teachings, and then went on become a pioneer in the human potential field, teaching meditation, prayer, affirmation and intuition worldwide for 50 years, and authoring 17 bestselling, award-winning and highly-acclaimed books.

Dr. Zee Publishing Adds Ten Titles to Its Children’s Book Universe, Anchored by a Recurring Cast

Balle Balle Radio™ Entertainment Desk

Dr. Zee Publishing announced an expansion of its Story World Universe with a new collection of titles, a larger storytelling universe in which characters, places, ideas, and adventures grow beyond individual books. The company, operated by Lee Enterprise Ventures, LLC, announced the expansion this week from its base in Schaumburg, Illinois.

The new titles are Day Leaf Caliph Leaves, NOT Gonna Be Toast, Rainbow City, Oumi’s Wish, Cuddles Kisses, Moon Maha Thinks She Needs a Holiday, Alam, Nana & the Tiny Ants, Worst Prank EVER, Cloud 9, and Raaji and the Clouds That Refused to Rain. According to the announcement, the stories represent the evolution of Dr. Zee Publishing from individual books into a larger interconnected storytelling universe in which characters and settings recur across multiple titles.

Three of the new books — Worst Prank EVER, Cloud 9, and Raaji and the Clouds That Refused to Rain — follow a single character, an aspiring young astronaut named Raaji, across separate adventures. In Cloud 9, per the publisher’s description, Raaji encounters what the announcement calls the "Cosmic Complaint Committee," part of a broader cast of personified natural elements — sun, moon, stars, clouds, rainbows — that the company says will continue to interact across future titles.

Other entries take on a single theme apiece. NOT Gonna Be Toast follows a piece of bread resisting its intended fate, described in the announcement as a story about individuality and self-determination. Moon Maha Thinks She Needs a Holiday personifies the moon as tired of nightly duty. Alam, Nana & the Tiny Ants asks young readers to consider the inner lives of insects. Oumi’s Wish centers on a child’s wish to meet a dinosaur.

Dr. Zee, founder of Lee Enterprise Ventures, stated that children’s stories can be meaningful while maintaining their sense of wonder. ‘Some of the most memorable lessons arrive wrapped in silliness, imagination, tenderness, or a question nobody thought to ask,’ Dr. Zee said in the announcement, adding that the Story World Universe was built to let children imagine the world behaving differently than it does.

The publisher’s broader catalog, according to its own marketing materials, is built around funny, friendship-centered stories and classroom-oriented literacy activities aimed at young readers — a positioning consistent with this latest batch of titles, which lean on humor and imaginative scenarios where ordinary things take on extraordinary qualities.

For Studio CarryOnHarry, the detail worth watching is the shared-universe structure itself — a recurring cast across a children’s list is an unusual bet in a market usually built book by book, and whether Raaji and the celestial cast become a lasting fixture will say more about the strategy’s staying power than any single title in this batch.

Studio CarryOnHarry Perspective

There’s a quiet rebellion in Dr. Zee’s observation that "memorable lessons arrive wrapped in silliness." Parents and educators often treat humor and substance as competing priorities in children’s literature—as if a book funny enough to hold a child’s attention must sacrifice depth. This philosophy challenges that false choice, asking readers to consider why we’ve accepted this trade-off at all.

In practice, this matters most when a child resists reading. A story about a piece of bread fighting its purpose (NOT Gonna Be Toast) sounds like a joke, but a child who laughs at that premise is already engaged with questions about identity and choice. The humor doesn’t distract from meaning—it’s the vehicle that makes the meaning accessible to someone still learning to sit still with a book. A tired moon or complaining clouds feel less like lectures and more like companions.

The risk, of course, is assuming that any silly story automatically carries depth. Absurdist humor without genuine stakes can feel hollow, and Dr. Zee’s statement doesn’t guarantee that every title in this collection strikes that balance. Whether a story actually lands both funny and meaningful depends on execution—a detail the announcement itself doesn’t address.

The most useful takeaway may be less about publishing strategy and more about how we measure success in children’s media: not by asking whether a book is funny or meaningful, but by recognizing that sustained attention from a child often depends on the author trusting that they’re the same thing.

Taking One Step Forward and Two Steps Back? Why Your “Slow Growth” Is Actually Working

Taking One Step Forward and Two Steps Back? Why Your “Slow Growth” Is Actually Working
We live in a culture obsessed with the “overnight transformation.” Our feeds are packed with dramatic before-and-after photos, rapid success stories, and aggressive motivational speech telling us to change our entire lives by Monday morning.
But real life doesn’t work in clean, cinematic montages.
For most of us, true personal growth feels incredibly frustrating. You make progress, only to stumble into an old habit the next day. You choose patience once, only to fall back into harsh self-criticism an hour later. It is a quiet, heavy cycle that drives thousands of us to Google at midnight, asking the same vulnerable question: Why does it feel like I am trying so hard but changing so slowly?
If you are currently exhausted by the pressure to always be “healed,” perfect, or moving at lightning speed, it is time to turn the volume down.
The third installment in Ruby Dosanjh’s celebrated one-word consciousness series, Sometime, is the gentle reality check your mind needs right now.
A Soft Landing for a Crowded Mind
Following the atmospheric explorations of connection in Likewise and perspective in Otherwise, Sometime turns its focus inward. It acts as a literary sanctuary for busy thinkers and chronic perfectionists.
Instead of demanding radical action or giving you a complicated list of self-help rules, the book embraces a powerful truth: true transformation is often years in the making, built entirely out of the subtle, invisible moments we usually overlook.
Inside its spacious, minimalist pages, the narrative explores:
  • The Reality of Fluctuating Days: Acknowledging that sometimes life feels uncertain, repetitive, or completely stationary—and that this isn’t a failure, but a natural part of the human rhythm.
  • Patience Over Self-Criticism: Breaking the cycle of modern guilt by teaching you to replace internal judgment with absolute, unapologetic self-grace.
  • The Power of Subtle Shift: Showing how every single time you choose to try again after a setback, you are quietly evolving into someone steadier and softer—even if you can’t see it yet.
The Palate Cleanser You Deserve
If you are experiencing self-help burnout—where every workbook feels like a chore and every advice book reads like a lecture—Sometime provides an entirely different, unhurried pacing. It doesn’t ask you to fix yourself; it simply invites you to give yourself permission to be human.
Close your laptop, step away from the relentless pressure of your digital life, and let this book remind you that the breakthrough you are waiting for is already happening in the quiet spaces.
