Vivek Sharma , bollywood alias Hindi Feature Film Director from mumbai better known for his much acclaimed Amitabh Bachchan starrer film Bhootnath recently released “सरायपाली का वो घर” ( Sarayepaali Ka Wo Ghar ) a horror love story inspired from his own life experiences.
The short illustration animated film version of his own writing and directing recently released with NavBharat Gold podcasting platform. on this occasion Vivek Spoke to Studio Carry On Harry about his new release.
What is the origin of story “सरायपाली का वो घर” ?It’s based on real incident from my life where my elder cousin gulped poison by mistake and he wanted to live.
Your Story is introduced as Horror Love Story. Do you believe in Supernatural ?
I do believe in existence of spirits and their world.
How do you convince scripting situation where you doubt conviction of existence ?
It’s the flow of screenplay and characterisation which convinces me and the audience.
“सरायपाली का वो घर” as a graphical illustration story telling . How different was it than Directing a feature film ?It’s an amazing experience. It’s novel and very impactful. I am so happy i started Podcast films, first ever in India. Any form of creation gives me immense pleasure.
Tell us about approach behind its making ?
First i write the entire episode. Then i dub it in my own voice. I send that to the team of graphics/illustrators who create magical frames. Then it goes to the editor. And finally to the music and sound team.

What stage is the film currently ?
Final script and casting is done. We are waiting for the funds.
What is the central theme of film ?
Story of a mother who goes through a guilt for her elder son’s suicide. She feels that he is not gone and lives in the same house.
Share your thoughts about production process . Any interesting trivia about its making ?
Location hunting for a paranormal film is like visiting haunted houses. My cameraman and me feel as if we are entering in the world of spirits.
What platforms will the film ” सरायपाली का वो घर ” be released ? Date of release ?
It’s not decided as yet.
Any other project you are working on ? Some details about the film ?
There are few projects but will reveal only once i sign actors.
