“Fun,” the New Dance Celebration Single by Doug Payne on Phase 5 Records

Bensalem, PA, March 13, 2023 –(CarryOnHarry.com)– Doug Payne’s promise to return to the recording industry is getting fulfilled with a new dance single called “Fun”. Sometimes you have to take a break from work and just dance and have some “Fun.”

In September of 2018, Doug was producing a song when he noticed a lump on his back. His wife encouraged him to get it checked out, but he elected to wait. It wasn’t until the lump had grown from the size of a grape to the size of a plum that Doug decided it was time to go to the doctor. After conducting a physical, the doctor told him they would perform surgery to remove the tumor. At his follow-up appointment, they told him it’s cancer.

The “Fun” music video will follow shortly after the song becomes available at all streaming and download music sites. It’s about a workaholic corporate boss having a “Bored” meeting and requesting his employees to work overtime. But when they hear dance music coming from a nearby dance club, the employees dance their way out of the office leaving the boss alone with another employee aka ”Uncle Joe” that fell asleep during the “Bored” meeting.

In 2022 Doug Payne released a reggae styled love song called “Feels Like Gold” that was written by Joseph Brown from Kingston Upon Hull in England. The music video is a funny love story of a janitor that falls asleep while cleaning the theater office and starts dreaming that he is actually in the theater’s musical about “Pirates.”

About Dorene Lewis
Dorene Lewis is a praise dancer and minister with Prophetic Anointing Flow of the Holy Spirit Praise Dance Ministry. For over two decades, she has inspired countless people through her dance, testimony, and dedication. Invitations to minister at events across state lines keep her busy and her performances—whether on stage, at gospel concerts, or community gatherings—continue to be a source of encouragement and faith.

Before dedicating her life to ministry, she opened for well-known R&B artists and was a member of a women’s hip hop dance troupe from 1991 to 1998. Her seven consecutive years cheering for the Indianapolis Colts are a testament to her energy and talent. The founding of Indianapolis Artist Alliance Production in 2015 marked the beginning of her work behind the scenes, writing and directing the stage play “Dance Miss Dorene” in 2017-2018.

Lewis’ career also includes appearances in gospel magazines, radio shows, and a guest spot on the TV show “It’s Time to Praise the Lord” on TBN in 2002. As an author, she has published “Miss Dorene: God Has Brought Me Too Far and I Can’t Quit Now” and “Arielle: Mystery Hidden Within.” In 2021, she launched the Dorene Lewis Prophetic Praise Dance Ministry YouTube channel, further expanding her outreach.

Recognition for her work has come in many forms: International Praise Dancer of the Year in 2021 and 2024, Youtuber of the Year in 2024, I Am Her International Crowned Woman of God in 2025, and recipient of the She’s the Rock Award in 2025. In addition, she was crowned Ms. Sunburst Queen representing Indiana in 2021 and served as Queen of Classic Ms. Circle City Indy from 2015-2018. Ordained as a minister in 2018, she also earned her prophetic praise dancer certificate in 2019.
Dorene earned a certificate as an early childhood professional from Ivy Tech Community College in 2010 and completed her certificate and licensure as an ordained minister at University Strategus Ministerial in 2018.

A native of Indianapolis, Dorene is a mother and grandmother to six grandchildren. Storytelling and dance ministry remain two of her greatest joys.

Rock Band Black Halo Releases Debut Single, “Upon Deaf Ears”

Gaithersburg, MD, September 12, 2025 –(CarryOnHarry.com)– After a 15-year struggle, rock band Black Halo has released the debut single from their forthcoming first record, Utopia. The concept album follows two people dealing with the promise of the internet to bring us together with the reality of it tearing us apart.

The album began as one of guitarist Randy Ellefson’s solo records and the first with vocals, but that’s what started the trouble. Over seven years, six singers came and went without finishing their parts, forcing Ellefson to start over. And over. And over. In frustration, he finally gave up.

But the project was never forgotten, and six years later, he returned with singer #3, Atlanta’s Chase Breedlove, coming back to complete it. After adding some new songs, and with the rest of the original lineup long gone, Ellefson hired famed drummer Dirk Verbeuren to help finish it.

The lead single, “Upon Deaf Ears,” tackles a problem familiar to many—asking someone for help only to be told “hang in there” or “it gets better” instead of being listened to, or hearing actionable advice. “While there’s nothing wrong with these phrases,” says Ellefson, “sometimes they’re a copout to avoid getting involved.” His own experience with that led him to write the song.

“Upon Deaf Ears” is now available on all major streaming platforms, BandCamp, SoundCloud, and YouTube. Visit https://linktr.ee/blackhalometal for access to these and Black Halo’s social media, merch, and website hub.
