Michael Madsen’s Cause of Death Confirmed

Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner confirms Michael Madsen’s death as suicide by gunshot wound.

Michael Madsen, the celebrated actor renowned for his memorable roles in films such as Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill, died by suicide, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner. Madsen was 64.

Found in his Los Angeles home on January 7th, 2022, the cause of death was initially deferred pending investigation. Six months later, the coroner’s report concludes that Madsen died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Throughout his prolific career, Madsen starred in over 170 films, collaborating with iconic directors like Quentin Tarantino, Ridley Scott, and Mike Newell. His contributions to cinema will be remembered.
