Phoenix Author Todd Gee Fox Makes the Case for the Handwritten Letter in New Book
Balle Balle Radio™ Entertainment Desk
Todd Gee Fox has published "A Winter Season’s Passage: Encouragement: Faith in Action," a book built around a simple argument: a handwritten letter does something a text message cannot, and that difference is worth recovering.
Fox, who lives in Phoenix, frames the book around his own life. According to the announcement, he lost his second wife, Debbie, and went through a period of grief that included what he describes as destructive coping mechanisms before he began rebuilding his life with the support of family and prayer. A writing class during that period, he says, gave him a way to put his emotions into words. He met his current wife, Clotilde, in 2016, and the two were married in 2019 by a priest, Father John B., according to the book’s own description. Fox has said he began writing letters to Father John in May 2020 and has continued the practice since, alongside letters to family members and others who shaped his life.
The book’s description, drawn from Fox’s own account, traces the habit further back than his second marriage: he writes that his parents, raising eleven children, were frequent letter writers, and that letters from them and from his siblings and children have become keepsakes he values highly. That family history, he suggests, is part of what drew him to the practice with his own correspondence to Father John and others.
The book contends that the intentional act of composing by hand, in contrast to the quickness of digital communication, constitutes part of what makes it valuable Fox writes that composing a letter demonstrates care partly because of the time it takes, and that sharing honest feelings with the recipient, paired with gratitude, benefits both the person writing and the person reading. "The unveiling of one’s heart through letter writing is a win-win for both composer and receiver," Fox says in the announcement, adding that he hopes the book moves readers to put their own feelings in writing.
"A Winter Season’s Passage" is published through Christian Faith Publishing and is available through bookstores and major online retailers including Amazon, Apple Books, Google Play, and Barnes and Noble.
Studio CarryOnHarry sees this as part of a steady stream of faith-based memoir and devotional titles built on personal testimony rather than a publishing event in itself, but Fox’s account of a decades-long family letter-writing habit gives this one more texture than most.

Educator Brian Givens Publishes Parenting Guide Built Around Four Biblical Principles
Balle Balle Radio™ Entertainment Desk
With nearly two decades of experience in education—as a teacher, coach, and principal—Brian Givens brings firsthand knowledge to his new parenting book, has published a new book aimed at Christian parents, "Following Christ in the Chaos: 4 Biblical Principles for Parents," through Christian Faith Publishing.
At the heart of the work are four foundational principles abbreviated as TILT: Train with Trust, Imitate our King, Lead with Love, and Teach with Grace According to the publisher’s description, the book argues that raising children spiritually requires more than parenting techniques or quick fixes, and instead frames the work as a call for parents to deepen their own relationship with God first. Each of the four principles gets its own chapters addressing both personal spiritual practice and day-to-day parenting decisions, covering topics including how to read Scripture in context, how to approach prayer, how to handle discipline, and how to manage parental anxiety.
Structurally, the book includes what the publisher describes as "training mode" sections at the end of each chapter, pairing referenced Bible verses with reflection questions and a prayer response, plus an appendix of additional spiritual formation resources.
Givens draws on his own background for the book’s perspective: he’s married to Jana and is the father of two sons, Owen and Mitchell, and describes his years in school leadership as giving him a vantage point on how Christian families are navigating what the book characterizes as an increasingly overstimulating culture. "Your intimacy with God can impact not only your children but also generations of Christ followers to come," Givens said in a statement accompanying the release, adding that he wants the book to "awaken Christian moms and dads to pursue his presence personally."
The book is available through major booksellers and online retailers including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Google Play, and the Apple iTunes Store.
Studio CarryOnHarry will be watching whether Givens’s dual background in education and parenting gives this entry more staying power than the steady stream of faith-based parenting guides competing for the same readers.

Brian Givens’s New Book Offers Parents Four Biblical Principles for Raising Children Amid ‘Chaos’
Balle Balle Radio™ Entertainment Desk
Brian Givens, an educator with eighteen years of experience as a teacher, coach, and school principal, has published "Following Christ in the Chaos: 4 Biblical Principles for Parents," a book aimed at Christian parents navigating what the book describes as the overstimulation and competing demands of modern family life. It was published by Christian Faith Publishing in August 2026.
The publication structures its guidance using TILT—Train with Trust, Imitate our King, Lead with Love, and Teach with Grace—as its four core principles. According to the publisher’s description, the book is structured to address different parenting stages, from newborns to teenagers, and covers topics including reading Scripture in context, approaching prayer, disciplining children, and managing parental anxiety.
Each chapter reportedly pairs personal spiritual reflection with parenting application, closing with what the publisher calls a "training mode" section built around Bible verses, reflection questions, and a prayer response. An appendix adds further resources for spiritual formation, the publisher states.
Givens draws on his own family life as well as his career in education. He is married to Jana and has two sons, Owen and Mitchell. In the announcement, Givens said intimacy with God "can impact not only your children but also generations of Christ followers to come," and described the book as an attempt to push parents past surface-level techniques toward deeper discipleship.
"Following Christ in the Chaos" is available through major booksellers, including Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Apple Books, and Google Play.
For Studio CarryOnHarry, books like this one speak to a steady market: parents looking for faith-based frameworks to counter what they see as the pressures of digital culture, rather than a single quick fix.
