Destin, FL, June 06, 2023 –(CarryOnHarry.com)– “Waypoints: Reflections on Life’s Journey”: an enjoyable collection of brief writings that carry potent messages of faith. “Waypoints: Reflections on Life’s Journey” is the creation of published author Rev. Canon Michael E. Hesse, who was born at Bolling AFB on October 18, 1948, and attended fourteen different schools in the US and Germany before graduating from high school in Jacksonville, Florida. It was there he met and later married his high school sweetheart, Claudia Dupre, in 1970. Hearing God’s call to ministry early in his college years at the University of Florida, he attended Virginia Theological Seminary and served churches in Tallahassee, Pensacola, and Destin—all in Florida where boating and fishing abound. After forty-two years of ministry, Mike retired in 2015 and continues to serve the Destin community as Anglican priest and fellow fisherman. Four children, their spouses, and eight grandchildren have blessed the Hesse family.

Hesse shares, “Headline news is disturbing; community tragedies are unhinging; individual trials are challenging. How does one make sense of life in the midst of a complex creation? Fr. Mike Hesse observes his world from a Christian perspective on many issues, corporate and personal, and offers a way to cope. Oswald Chambers says, ‘Yet there is no circumstance of life in which we cannot abide in Jesus.’ We are called to be victorious in and through our circumstances, understanding that God has them all in hand. Inside are over a hundred different columns, written over fifteen years of ministry in Destin, Florida. It is hoped that readers will find encouragement, truth, and love from the Lord and renewed stamina for tomorrow’s adventures.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Rev. Canon Michael E. Hesse’s new book can be enjoyed in small installments of any order as each passage carries a unique and important message.

Consumers can purchase “Waypoints: Reflections on Life’s Journey” at traditional brick & mortar bookstores, or online at Amazon.com, Apple iTunes store, or Barnes and Noble.

At 95, Korean War Veteran and Pastor Publishes Collection of Sermons

Balle Balle Radio™ Entertainment Desk

Rev. Clarence Yordy, a 95-year-old Korean War veteran and former pastor, has published a new collection of sermons titled "In Times Like These, Be Very Sure," through Christian Faith Publishing.

The book gathers sermons described by its publisher as addressing faith, perseverance, healing and purpose, rooted in Scripture and shaped by what the announcement calls real-life experience. According to the publisher’s description, the collection is meant to offer readers a steady voice amid noise and uncertainty, inviting them to pause and reconnect with their faith in the course of daily life.

Yordy brings a long personal history to the material. He served in the Korean War, spent years in pastoral ministry, and raised seven children, with grandchildren and great-grandchildren following. "I wanted to share the lessons I’ve learned across a lifetime of ministry," Yordy said in the announcement. "In times like these, we need anchors of truth that hold steady regardless of the storms around us. My prayer is that these messages help others find that unwavering foundation in Christ."

The publisher describes the sermons as addressing both practical and spiritual questions — encouragement for difficult seasons, Yordy says, alongside what the publisher frames as deeper understanding of what it means to live out faith with conviction.

"In Times Like These, Be Very Sure" is available through Christian Faith Publishing’s website, as well as at bookstores and through major online retailers including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Apple Books and Google Play.

Studio CarryOnHarry sees the real interest here in the author himself — a 95-year-old minister and veteran putting a lifetime of ministry into print is itself a notable milestone, regardless of how the book performs.

Nancy Chance’s New Book Traces Fallen Angels and Ancient Origins Through Biblical Texts

Balle Balle Radio™ Entertainment Desk

Author Nancy Chance has released "Ancient History of Man, the Fallen Angels, and Religions," a book examining humanity’s earliest history through the lens of biblical and ancient texts, published through Christian Faith Publishing.

The book draws on the Holy Bible and the Book of Enoch, along with what the announcement describes as extensive research across scientific, historical, and journalistic sources. Its narrative opens with what Chance characterizes as creation’s original state of perfection, then moves to the descent of fallen angels to Earth and the disruption that followed. The Book of Enoch, an ancient Jewish religious text not included in most biblical canons, has long been a touchstone for writers and theologians interested in the fallen angels narrative referenced briefly in Genesis, and Chance’s book builds its account around that same source material alongside scripture.

Chance came to this project after a career in nursing. The author started her creative pursuits with teenage poetry, progressed through short stories and screenplays, and after leaving nursing pursued this theological work. This new book follows an earlier, shorter work, "One God and the Fallen Angels," and the publisher describes it as an expanded treatment of the same research and themes.

In a statement, Chance explained her motivation: "I felt compelled to share this narrative because it illuminates not only the struggle between light and darkness, but God’s constant love for His creation." "Through extensive research and biblical foundation, I hope readers will come to know Him intimately and understand their place in this epic narrative."

The publisher positions the book as a resource for readers interested in biblical and historical perspectives on the origins of human civilization and its relationship to the divine. It’s available through Christian Faith Publishing’s website, as well as Amazon, Apple iTunes, Google Play, and Barnes and Noble.

Studio CarryOnHarry will be watching to see whether this expanded volume reaches a wider readership than Chance’s earlier book on the same subject, or whether it mainly serves the audience already familiar with her work.
