Local Female Filmmakers Win Top Honors
in Filmmaking Competition

Inland Empire, CA, February 06, 2023 –(CarryOnHarry.com)– The 48 Hour Film Project (48HFP), the world’s oldest and largest timed filmmaking competition, announced the results of the Inland Empire’s Best Film of 2022, during its “Best Of” Screenings and Award Show held at the Harkins Theatre in Redlands. The winning film “The Spaces Between” by the Footlights Team, an all-female cast and crew, will go on to represent the Inland Empire against 48HFP winners all around the world at Filmapalooza 2023 in Los Angeles this coming March.

The 48 Hour Film Project is a wild and sleepless weekend in which a team makes a movie – from concept to final – in just 48 hours. They are given a genre, a character, a prop, and a line of dialogue – all required – and the rest is up to them to make a 4-7 minute short film. The films are then screened at a local theater in front of an eager audience at a Premiere event. The top rated films, ranked by a distinguished panel of industry judges, go on to the “Best Of” Screenings and Awards event.

The “Best Of” Award Winners were announced on November 8, 2022, honoring different categories such as Best Cinematography, Best Writing and Best Editing. The Footlights Team brought in four top honors with Vanessa Silva winning Best Director, Chelsea Gray winning Best Acting in a Leading Role, and their film “The Spaces Between” winning the Audience Award and Best Film of 2022.

“We are so humbled and honored for the nominations and wins, and beyond thrilled to represent the IE at The 48 Hour Film Project’s Filmapalooza 2023!” -Vanessa Silva, Team Leader, Director, Cinematographer, Co-Writer and Co-Editor

“Thank you to Kevin Lyons and Lucas Cuny for an overall incredible experience, the prestigious judges, all of the filmmakers that participated and put out incredible films, and, of course, the entire Footlights Team who worked tirelessly to make this film happen.”

Since the 48 Hour Film Project’s inception, more than 1,400 projects have taken place, over 50,000 short films have been made, and more than 600,000 filmmakers have taken part. The 48HFP also screens a special selection of films each year at the Cannes Film Festival – Short Film Corner in Cannes, France. The films chosen are announced during Filmapalooza which the Footlights Team is eager to attend, as their film “The Spaces Between” is now a contender.

About The 48 Hour Film Project – The 48 Hour Film Project is an international filmmaking event celebrating its 20th Anniversary. As a global community built on local events, the 48HFP connects with thousands of filmmakers each year on six continents.

About the Footlights Team – Footlight Studios is a women-helmed production company that puts female storytellers at the forefront – in front and behind the camera – in pivotal and essential roles. Yungblud Forced to Cancel Liverpool Concert Amidst Health and Financial Concerns

Yungblud has announced the cancellation of his Liverpool show due to a severe case of tonsillitis, also hinting at current financial challenges.

Studio Team CarryOnHarry, July 12, 2025

Yungblud has been forced to cancel his highly anticipated Liverpool concert, originally scheduled for July 12th at Mountford Hall, due to a debilitating bout of tonsillitis.

The artist shared a heartfelt statement expressing his regret: “I’m so sorry, I’ve woken up and my tonsillitis is really bad. I can’t even swallow, let alone sing… I promise I’m gonna make it up to you.” He acknowledged the inconvenience to fans, particularly those who had traveled to attend the show.

In a separate, candid post, Yungblud alluded to financial struggles, stating, “My bar is on the floor, money wise. So I really don’t wanna cancel. But if I do I promise I’ll make it up to you.” This adds another layer of complexity to the cancellation.

Despite this setback, Yungblud is still slated to perform at the TRNSMT Festival in Glasgow on July 14th. Fans are encouraged to check for updates regarding future performances and potential rescheduling of the Liverpool show.
